We are committed to minimizing our impact on the outdoor environment. We strive to be a positive influence on our world, and that starts with taking responsibility for our own social and environmental footprints.
Our mission is to have a positive impact on our environment and raise awareness of local charities. We hope to instil a sense of wonder and appreciation for our natural surroundings.
Transportation
Transportation of our products from suppliers emits a considerable amount of carbon dioxide. We strive to ship every item by ocean, which reduces carbon dioxide emissions by 40x compared to air transport.
Climate Neutral
We set an ambitious target to be climate neutral certified by 2025. Since we founded Solstice, we have been passionate about making conscious choices to protect and preserve our environment. We must be part of the solution for the world to reach zero net carbon emissions.
Earth First
Small choices can have a big impact. We advocate for sustainable and eco-friendly choices in everything that we do. That includes thoughtful purchases, leave no trace ethics and sustainable living.
Initiatives
We've partnered with local charities to fulfill our own initiatives aimed at improving our environment.
If you haven’t had a chance yet, check out our eco-campaign. When founding Solstice, one of the cornerstones of the company was to help preserve our natural surroundings. When you make a purchase from our eco-campaign, 100% of the profits go to a worthwhile environmental charity.
We choose a new charity recipient each year. This year the recipient of choice is the Fisheries Program | BC Conservation Foundation (bccf.com). The BC Conservation Foundation protects and conserves fish, wildlife and their habitats throughout the province of British Columbia. In particular, the BCCF Fisheries program objective is to continue to restore, perpetuate and expand fish populations within healthy aquatic ecosystems.
